Presidential Group
In 2010 RTPS celebrates 120 years and to mark this year a special retrospective section with work from 30 Presidents of the Society was on display, with extra panels representing the work of Dr. Jouhar and Peter Wilkinson, Hon FRPS.

Sister Paula Thomas, with pupils and Athene Jones, St. Catherine’s School
Pupils from St. Catherine’s School in Years 10 and 11 provided innovative prints from their GCSE Photography course work which contrasted markedly with other images on display.
Special Interest Groups within the Society were well represented with a wide range of styles and content, and there was one panel from Roger Towell who recently gained his Associate of the Royal Photographic Society.

Roger Towell's Successful ARPS Panel
A small selection of transparencies were on view, and projected images were displayed on a
large monitor. Also on display on another monitor were the award winners and other accepted
images from the First RTPS National Open Digital Exhibition.
Over 60 members each had a panel of prints on display. These panels are usually themed
the choice is left to the individuals concerned. Whilst the majority of images have been
taken and printed digitally, some still choose to use old processes or mix old methods
with new. Amongst these were photographs taken with a pinhole camera and platinum prints
using digital negatives.
Visitors were asked to vote for their favourite panel and the winner was Brian Collins,
LRPS, who will hold the Richmond Trophy for the forthcoming year.
