James Burns
KCC
James Burns and the Holy Grail: the photographer capturing the ever-changing sounds and scenes of the city. James is London's unofficial skyline photographer. Since the 1990s, he has been cycling across the city – exploring backstreets and housing estates, discovering each area's unique culture. His journeys have led through the back streets, to the housing estates, the top floors of tower blocks and rooftops. The journey started in the late 1990’s but took shape in 2003 when he realised how the camera was the easiest way to express and document this growing connection.
