In 2018, he attained the Judges Choice award from the Surrey Photographic Society in the annual, Nature Category, competition. He is surrounded both by natural beauty and all manner of wildlife - birds, animals, insects, and flora of all kinds. He uses his camera to document nature and then print images with a focus on the magic he find in daily life, in the garden, parks, nature reserves and wetland centres. His pictures endeavour to show action and tell wildlife stories although pure animal portraits shots can also be stunning.
